I’ve shared my plan to bike up to Orlando in two days with a couple of people so far. Reactions are mixed but definitely salted with the typical “you’re crazy” tone. Not sure exactly which part of the trip idea is really so crazy though. In Le Tour de France, the cyclists do over a 100 miles a day for about a month. I’ve done 62 and 75 mile distances before although it can get a bit taxing, its definitely not too much of a challenge. Originally I was planning to do this for a shuttle launch in November and meet up with friends, having someone shuttle me back down - but I can’t seem to wait! (And I’ve got vacation time available now that I should take advantage of..)

Going to mull this over some more while I run six miles to my mom’s house, pick up my bike and ride back home.

at what point did I stop hating CBS and actually look forward to their programming? When I was younger, you couldn’t pay me to watch any of their shows; I thought they were too boring and stiffled. Now.. well its just about the only intelligent, funny schedule out there - especially in the Summer. Back to ‘Big Bang Theory’…

We write not only to be understood but to understand ourselves better

Recently I’ve been inspired to get back into writing; long prose, deep emotional poetry, and just random ruminations. But why be selfish? Writing should be a personal thing, but we should also be willing to share our writings (and ourselves) with the world - no matter the outcome. Even if it’s pain.
